Abstract
With the development of new technologies and the entry of humanities and Islamic sciences into the digital arena, a new field has been provided for the analysis, classification, and processing of traditional sources. Hadith and Rijal sciences, as two fundamental axes in the understanding of religious texts and the evaluation of the documentary evidence of narrations, have not been left out of this development. This article, using an analytical-descriptive approach, examines the effects, results, and benefits of utilizing digital humanities tools in these two sciences. Among the achievements of this connection are the improvement of accuracy in documentary analysis, the possibility of discovering complex relationships between narrators, facilitating the discovery of narrative conflicts, and the development of participatory research platforms. The article also points to existing challenges, including the weakness of data infrastructures and the need to standardize texts. The result is that the digitization of hadith and rijal sources, despite some challenges, opens new horizons in religious research and highlights the need to review traditional research methods. Therefore, this article proposes solutions for sustainable development in this field by presenting a four-dimensional model (technical, educational, institutional, and cognitive).
